USDA’s FAS marketing strategy focus on secondary city in Penang, Malaysia to cement the great quality of U.S. agricultural products amongst families in the country. The event partners also includes U.S. Grains Council and Harley Davidson with eleven bikers flagging off the walk with a total sponsorship of over $12,500.
Last year, U.S. exports food and beverage products worth US$492 million into Malaysia market, and products such as U.S. potatoes are the market leader for frozen potatoes in Malaysia while California Raisins dominate the raisins segment in Malaysia. Washington apples are grown more than any other U.S. states, and sold in over 50 countries around the world including Malaysia.
