On Friday September 5, U.S. Embassy Political Counselor Tressa Finerty spoke with thirty participants in the Regional and International Affairs module at the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR) for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  Audience members included young Malaysian diplomats as well as a handful of foreign diplomats assigned to Malaysia.  Ms. Finerty engaged the diplomats in discussions about U.S.-Malaysia Bilateral and Multilateral Relations, and relayed personal stories from more than a decade with the United States Department of State, including her experiences working the United Nations.  IDFR invited Ms. Finerty as the final speaker in the weeks long module, which ended the following day with the students’ graduation.
