The U.S. Embassy will be closed on Friday, July 4, 2014 in observance of the 238th of U.S. Independence, also known as the Fourth of July.
On this day, Americans all over the world, share the celebration of the birth of the United States of America and its founding principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In Malaysia, this holiday was celebrated a little earlier with Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Department, representing the Government Malaysia. The official ceremony reflected the close relationship between the United States and Malaysia.
All Embassy services, including visa and American passport and notary services, will resume operations on Monday, July 7, 2014
