U.S. Criminal Records / Good Conduct Check
5 MINUTE READ
May 18, 2022

The information for requesting a “Good Conduct” or criminal history check for the U.S. can be found at this website: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks.

Per Department of State regulations, Consular sections at U.S. Embassies and Consulates overseas can only take ink fingerprints related to USCIS services.  Therefore, we are not able to assist with requests for fingerprinting services. However, the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) Headquarters in Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur may be able to assist you with your fingerprinting request.  Please visit the FBI’s website for additional information on criminal history checks and a link to printing out the FD-258 Fingerprint Card.

For the fingerprints at the RMP HQ, please print out the FD-258 Fingerprint Card and take it to the Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) Headquarters in Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur located on the 4th floor, Finger Print Unit (D2) in Tower 2.  Their office hours are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday.  The individual seeking fingerprint services should go to the main entrance (Gate A), surrender a picture ID (not the passport, as the officer in charge needs that for verification) to get a badge.  Ask the police on duty at the entrance for the shuttle service location to get to Tower 2. The individual seeking fingerprint services should bring their passport, the fingerprint card, and documentation on why they need the criminal records check with them. The fee for this service is currently RM 30, however, this may be subject to change without notice. All questions regarding this service should be directed to RMP:

Address: Jalan Bukit Aman, Tasik Perdana, 50560 Kuala Lumpur
