Overview
U.S. Passport and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) applicants who applied in person may opt to receive their new passports and/or CRBAs via Aramex in lieu of returning to the U.S. Embassy a second time to collect the completed passport and/or CRBA.
Please review the Passport Services or CRBA Services page to make your passport or CRBA appointment. On the day of your appointment, notify consular staff that you wish to utilize Aramex delivery service to receive your new passport or CRBA. If you are renewing a passport, note that consular staff will cancel your current passport prior to returning it to you.
Requesting an Aramex Airway Bill
Requesting an Aramex Airway Bill
When you leave the U.S. Embassy, email Aramex (all_kul_customer_service_us_embassy@aramex.com) to purchase an Aramex airway bill. Your email to Aramex must include the following information:
- Your full name
- Your complete home address where your document should be delivered
- Your mobile telephone number
- Receipt confirming you have transferred the payment for your airway bill(s) to Aramex via bank transfer to Aramex’s HSBC account # 302-322391-101 (see Aramex Fees below).
- If you opt to collect your passport from an Aramex office rather than via home delivery, the additional fee for this service should be made together with the payment for the base one way delivery service fee.
Once Aramex confirms that your payment has been received, Aramex will email you an electronic copy of your Aramex airway bill(s). Please forward the Aramex airway bill(s) to KLACS@state.gov so that we can use the airway bill(s) to return your new document(s) to you via mail once received.
You may track your passport application through Aramex website or by calling Aramex contact center. See Processing Time.
NOTE: We require an individual airway bill for each document (CRBA, passport book, and/or passport card) to be returned via mail. Completed CRBAs, passport books, and passport cards arrive at the U.S. Embassy in different shipments. Due to the volume of cases, and to avoid delays in delivering your new documents, we cannot cross-associate these documents for return together.
