On May 15, twenty teachers and librarians from schools and the Melaka State Public Library attended a special workshop on “Information Literacy: Harnessing the Power of E-Library USA” organized at the Lincoln Corner.  Lincoln Resource Center Reference Librarian Nurha Matrang introduced participants to the free database and taught them how to search for articles on various topics from science and technology to education, culture, etc.  In addition, Nurha briefed the participants about the other high quality U.S. library materials available at the Corner, demonstrated the State Department’s American English website,  and showed participants how Trace Effects could help learners of English enjoy interactive lessons.  Impressed with the day’s workshop, the teachers promised to bring their school students to the Corner to explore and enjoy the same treasures.
