“It’s a wrap for TechCamp Malaysia! Over the past two weeks, U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur and the Penang Institute hosted the first ever virtual TechCamp in Malaysia on countering disinformation.  TechCamp gathered over 60 participants and trainers from the U.S., Europe, and the ASEAN region to brainstorm technological solutions to challenges posed by disinformation.  Participants pitched their project ideas ranging from media literacy education for youth and educators to the tracking and analysis of misinformation on prominent social media platforms. Post-TechCamp, participants will receive small grants to execute their projects. We look forward to seeing the impact of these emerging leaders in curbing disinformation!”
