At a reception to celebrate the 247th anniversary of independence of the United States, Ambassador McFeeters said, “Today, we celebrate America – our freedom, our liberty, and our independence. We also celebrate the deep and enduring comprehensive partnership between the United States and Malaysia. Independence Day is a day of history, hope, remembrance and resolve, and of promise and possibilities. Our theme tonight – “Red, White, Blue, and Green” – is about caring for our planet, protecting the environment, taking on the climate crisis, and ensuring the sustainability of our earth – critical for the peoples of the United States, Malaysia, and the entire world.” The Ambassador thanked YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change, for his participation.
