Chargé d’Affaires Edgard Kagan presented certificates of achievement to thirteen Malaysian Fulbright scholars at a celebration on December 15.  The event, hosted by the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE), included sharing sessions on the returnees’ experiences in the United States and their respective academic disciplines, including history, media, music, economics, and education.

The Fulbright scholars attended academic programs at various American institutions, including Harvard, Princeton and John Hopkins.  In addition to graduate and research programs, Fulbright offers the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (UGRAD) for undergraduate students, the International Leaders in Education Program (ILEP), and Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA) for secondary educators, and the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program for professionals.
