With a switch to a virtual format, four officers from Sultan Ahmad Shah Maritime Academy (AMSAS) which is based in Kuantan, Pahang, were also able to join the class together with their colleagues from the MMEA headquarters located in Cyberjaya. This 10-week project endeavors to improve participants’ English communication skills to enhance cooperation with foreign counterparts and further build capacity through networking. During the first class, the VELF used a range of digital tools and materials to encourage speaking and discussion among the officers. This is the second time the Public Affairs section has collaborated with MMEA through the English Language Fellow Program to strengthen military and security ties between U.S. and Malaysia.
