On July 27, sixty-three high school and university students from Johor Bahru participated in a seminar entitled “U.S. University and Education System” held at Lincoln Corner Johor.   This interactive and fun-filled seminar, led by an EducationUSA adviser from the Malaysian American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE), featured several aspects of higher education which students could pursue in the United States.  A lively question and answer session also covered U.S. society, life, and culture.

The seminar was followed by a segment led by the Corner librarian on the Department of State’s research database, eLibrary USA.  This session focused on researching a wide range of information about U.S. society and values, universities and colleges, and other topics, using authentic and reliable, peer-reviewed journals and other resources covered in the database.
