Dr. Zac Forsman visits Sabah

 

Dr. Zac also did a dive at Manukan Island to check on the status of coral and reef balls.

Dr. Zac Forsman, a coral recovery specialist and researcher from the Hawaii Institute of Marine Biology, was in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park, Kota Kinabalu from Oct 16-20. He was funded by the Embassy to work with Sabah Parks, and during his time in Sabah he met several local NGOs and marine biologists undertaking coral rehabilitation at Pulau Gaya and Pulau Mantanani. Dr. Zac also did a dive at Manukan Island to check on the status of coral and reef balls. He later met with Reef Check Malaysia, WWF, Marine Ecology Research Center, KK National College and Borneo Marine Research Institute at UMS.
