Deputy Chief of Mission Dean Thompson supports the 2018 Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Sales Fair

On August 4, Deputy Chief of Mission Dean Thompson attended the 2018 Junior Achievement Young Enterprise Sales Fair, which took place at Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya. Ten secondary schools across Malaysia participated in the sales fair to display and sell their innovative products after undergoing months of training and mentorship from Junior Achievement (JA) Malaysia and corporate sponsors.

Throughout the six-month Young Enterprise program, the students learned how to develop a business plan, develop sales strategies and organize product development activities. In his speech, DCM Thompson commended the U.S. companies that support Junior Achievement and congratulated the students on completing the Young Enterprise program. Mr. Stuart Dean, the Chairman of JA Malaysia and YB Maria Chin Abdullah, Petaling Jaya’s Member of Parliament, also attended the event.
