Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) Manu Bhalla visited Sarawak, September 16-19. He was thrilled to represent the United States at the official Malaysia Day celebration in Kuching. He was also happy to strengthen U.S.-Sarawak ties through engagements with government officials, the business community, renewable energy and climate action stakeholders, partners in civil society and academia including the American Corner in Sarawak, and alumni of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs. In an interview with TV Sarawak, CDA Bhalla underscored his desire to bolster U.S.-Sarawak ties across different sectors. He also emphasized that the United States and Malaysia share a vision for a region that is free and open, connected, prosperous, strong, and resilient.
