On February 16, 2016, Ambassador Yun met a group of twenty-five young entrepreneurs who will travel to Silicon Valley on February 21-26, 2016 as part of the Malaysia-America Foundation’s (MAF) inaugural program.

The group is composed of both entrepreneurs and heads of major Malaysian businesses, including Sunway Group, and Touch-and-Go. As part of their program in Silicon Valley, they will be visiting Facebook, Uber, Khazanah, and other businesses. They will also be attending the Global Start Up Grind conference, where MAF is a Gold Sponsor and will feature a booth. A reporter from Bloomberg Malaysia is also accompanying the delegation on the trip.

During the informal session, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of people-to-people and economic ties between the United States and Malaysia, citing the recent signing of the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement, which includes the United States and Malaysia.
