Ambassador Lakhdhir inspires more than 300 ETA students at the Projek Pelajar Symposium in Kuala Lumpur

On September 29, Ambassador Lakhdhir attended the Projek Pelajar Symposium at Universiti Malaya as a keynote speaker. She talked about creativity in entrepreneurship and encouraged the students to pursue solutions and projects that would benefit their respective communities. Projek Pelajar was a program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, organized by Junior Achievement and led by the Fulbright English Teaching Assistants (ETAs).
Junior Achievement is an American-based NGO that aims to educate youth on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.  With the theme “Pave Your Path”, the event brought together approximately 400 people including the ETA students, teacher mentors, parents, media and officers from the Ministry of Education. After attending a boot camp in Kampar last August, and learning the fundamentals of leadership and entrepreneurship, the students worked together on their business ventures, displayed their projects and sold their products at the symposium.
