On July 29 2017, Ambassador Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir gave the commencement speech at Taylor’s University’s American Degree Program commencement ceremony. The Ambassador addressed the 191 graduates, who had recently completed two years of study at Taylor’s and who plan to continue their studies at institutions overseas, including at universities in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

She told the graduates she was proud of them and recognized the parents, grandparents, siblings and friends for being instrumental in helping the graduates achieve their current success. She advised the students to work hard and value the people they meet abroad, and further noted that with their experiences overseas she is confident they will come back not to change their country, but to lead it.
